The Early Access service
Decoder Hub provides tools for recording model railway collections, service histories and related information. Early Access is currently free. Features may change as we learn from testing, and we will tell users before introducing paid plans or material restrictions.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in email and account secure and for providing accurate information. Do not share one-use claim or transfer links with anyone except their intended recipient. You must not attempt to access another user’s records, workshop controls or the underlying service without permission.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photographs, notes and collection information you add. You give Decoder Hub permission to store, process, display and export that content only as needed to provide and operate the service. Only upload content you have the right to use and do not add unlawful, harmful or unnecessarily sensitive personal information.
Workshop records and transfers
A verified record means the named workshop created that entry in Decoder Hub; it is not a guarantee of future condition or performance. An ownership transfer moves the locomotive record and customer-visible service history to the accepting account. The former owner’s purchase price and estimated resale value are removed.
Guides and collection values
Guides are general educational information and do not replace the instructions for your exact model, controller or decoder. Stop if equipment becomes hot, smells hot or shows signs of a short circuit, and use a competent repairer when unsure.
Estimated resale values are entered by users for personal record-keeping. Decoder Hub does not independently value, verify or guarantee them. Actual selling prices can vary with condition, demand, fees and method of sale.
Availability and backups
We aim to keep Decoder Hub available and records intact, but an Early Access service may experience faults, maintenance or data loss. Keep an export or other backup of important information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Fair use and suspension
Do not misuse the service, introduce malicious code, overload it, scrape private information or use it to infringe another person’s rights. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse or operate the service safely.
Ending your account
You can stop using Decoder Hub at any time. Export anything you want to retain first, then request account deletion from My Account. We may retain limited information where reasonably required for security, dispute resolution or legal obligations.
