What we collect
When you register, we receive your account identifier, email address and display name from our sign-in provider. We store the locomotive details, photographs, collection notes, service history, fault records and other information you choose to add.
If you use a workshop claim or ownership-transfer link, we record the information needed to move the relevant locomotive record securely. Private workshop notes are kept separate from customer-visible records.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide your collection, imports and exports, service history, QR claims, ownership transfers, account support and security. During Early Access, we may also use basic account and feature totals to understand whether Decoder Hub is working reliably. We do not sell your personal information.
Who provides the service
- Clerk provides sign-in, verification and account recovery.
- Cloudflare hosts the application and database and may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the service.
- Platform Collectables creates verified workshop records when you use its repair service.
Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy arrangements. Decoder Hub does not currently use advertising trackers or accept payments.
Cookies and local storage
Essential sign-in and security technologies are used to keep you signed in and protect the service. The installable web app may also cache application files on your device so pages open reliably. We do not currently use optional advertising cookies.
Sharing, cards and transfers
Records are private to your signed-in account unless you deliberately create a repair-sharing, claim or ownership-transfer link. Treat these links like private documents. Purchase prices and estimated resale values are not printed on service cards and are removed when ownership transfers.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep account and collection information while your account remains active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve problems and meet legal obligations. You can export your collection from My Collection. You can request deletion from My Account or by emailing the privacy contact from your registered address.
Your choices and rights
You may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or raise a concern about how it is used. We may need to verify your identity before acting. UK users may also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Early Access
Decoder Hub is still being tested. We take reasonable steps to protect records, but you should keep your own export or backup of information that would be difficult to replace. We will update this notice when payment, optional analytics or materially different data uses are introduced.
